Melanoma Vaccines

Malignant melanoma is the most dangerous type of skin cancer. Its annual incidence rates have been growing throughout recent decades in fair-skinned populations [1]. Risk factors include skin type, multiple nevi and, above all, exposure to sunlight, especially sunburns in childhood [2]. In recent years advances in melanoma treatment were expected to be based on the development of immunotherapeutic concepts [3].

BioLife Science is currently developing peptide-based melanoma vaccines using the mimotope technology employed for MimoVac® breast cancer vaccines.
