For the first time the data of the melanoma project of BioLife Science were presented at the 93rd Annual Meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research in April 2002 in San Francisco by Stefan Wagner and Christine Hafner.

BioLife Science researcher Angelika Riemer graduated with distinction

Angelika Riemer graduated from the University of Vienna Medical School Sub auspiciis praesidentis rei publicae on March 12, 2002. Dr. Riemer is currently affiliated with the Research Group Humoral Immunobiology headed by Professor Erika Jensen-Jarolim. In her thesis on "Development of a Mimotope Vaccine against Malignant Melanoma" she described a completely new approach to break the tolerance against a specific melanoma antigen using mimotope vaccination.
